Trees
There are over 33,800 trees in the Santa Monica's Urban Forest. That's a lot of trees. In fact, if you laid them out end to end, they would stretch from the Santa Monica Pier all the way to Palm Springs. The trees are worth $138 million by their replacement value alone. When environmental benefits are also considered, the Santa Monica Urban Forest is worth $300 million.
Police Calls for Service
The Santa Monica Police Department Call for Service information includes requests for police service made by the public, as well as officer-initiated activity. The Call for Service information provided on the Open Data portal dates back to January 1, 2006 and is updated daily. The Police Department continues to make the Daily Calls for Service Report available on their website.
