This dataset shows all demolition permit applications for structures over 40 years old. As a result, there may be permits listed for accessory structures exempt from demolition review pursuant to SMMC Section 9.25.020. “Original Construction Age” is pulled from the City’s permit system but may be different than original date of construction found through more detailed research. To view the most recent applications, please sort by “Date Plan Check Accepted” in Descending order. This date represents the start of the 75-day waiting period.
The Santa Monica Police Department Call for Service information includes requests for police service made by the public, as well as officer-initiated activity. The Call for Service information provided on the Open Data portal dates back to January 1, 2006 and is updated daily. The Police Department continues to make the Daily Calls for Service Report available on their website.
This dataset is a listing of all demolition permit applications currently under review by the City. Due to limitations of prior software used by the City, applications from 2016 and earlier may be erroneously reflected on this list as active and with a status of ‘In Review;’ when in fact the demolition permit may have been issued, or the permit application may have expired altogether prior to any permit issuance.
